New Model Army

Not what you think, that title.

I want one of these:
No real reason why, other than it's still technically a real gun, and I can get one without a licence, albeit if I can find a spare couple of grand...
As far as getting a revolver more in the style of Stephen King's Gunslinger goes then no joy because Roland's guns use cartridges (.45 Long Colt or similar) and that's a no go in the UK.

Tilman Birr

Here are the contents of a barcode I scanned

Just about to start reading this, I don't have enough lifetimes to finish Der Schatz im Silbersee first, so together it is.

Berlin Ostern #5

Can't remember recall too much more of Berlin, Gay bar, Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt, crappy music in Brauerei Sudstern, feeling decidedly off colour.
Good fun was had by all though.

Berlin Ostern #4

Friday night:
Had a pint in the Clash bar, then on the train to Tiergarten Quelle where we had a couple of pints of Schultheiss and shedloads of food. Beccy and Chick had the Käse Spätzle (and managed just over half) and I had Buletten. We had a brief chat with Rochus the manager and may go back on Monday..

Lastly, after some searching we found a bar local to the hotel that didn't look too mental, called 'Brinks' I think, where we had one for the road. The Köstritzer was OK, the bar a touch jaded, but then aren't we all.
Mother, you may notice that, so far, the amount of beer consumption is less than an English weekend..

Berlin Ostern #3

Visited Brandenburger Tor, the Jewish memorial and the site of the Führerbunker (which was obscured by a German tour group), then strolled around the soviet memorial before walking through Tiergarten for a coffee at der neue See.
Managed to find the Mommsen Eck, where a couple of pints were consumed, including the lethal Andechs Doppelbock Dunkles on draught.

Berlin Ostern #2

Thursday night: a pint of Louny in the Clash bar, then a Köstritzer in the Berliner Republik.
Another in the Lemke brewery in Hackescher Markt where I gave some change to a bricklaying apprentice in the traditional gear, then one to finish in Bier Express in Mehringdamm followed by currywurst.
All quite excellent..

Berlin Ostern #1

Got to the hotel after over 24 hours awake, knackered. We managed to drop off the cases however for a bit of a stroll around and walked up to Wiener Straße for a couple in the Tiki bar and a burger, then onto Ankerklause for another pint.
Walked back through a market along the Landsehrkanal, then back to the hotel for a kip.
Going well so far...
